Why is there *any* limit to how far one can see across the plate if the earth is flat?
If this is the case, anywhere (provided there isn't an object in the way) should be visible from anywhere else with enough magnification.
I live in New Zealand. Why can't I see Australia from the coast? It's only about 2,000km (rounding down a bit) to Australia, so a bit under 4 times as far as the video you linked to.
Why can't I see Australia?
