I've never known auditors to need an understanding of the ASX position on something to audit books from nearly a year ago.
At the time WFE had asked for in principle advice from the ASX and had received it. As of the end of Dec 2018, WFE were not waiting for anything from the ASX, so what would auditors be waiting for to complete the Dec 18 audit??

Interesting how what you were told differs from what @beisha received in the emailed reply about just waiting for directors and auditors signatures.
