Do you know that Daniel's dream takes place in Persia.
And you know the prophecies of Isaiah?
"The excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord ... [when] the ransomed of the Lord [the Jews] shall return." -Isaiah 35
"I am God... calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man who executeth my judgement from a far country." -Isaiah 46Very interesting.
Jesus promised: "Him that overcometh... I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name." New Jerusalem as you know means a new religion and Jesus is saying that He will return with a new name. Baha'is claim that new name is, Baha'u'llah, which means Glory of God.
Now there are a whole bunch of prophecies they say that the returned Jesus figure will come from the east, in fact a specific part of Persia is mentioned.
In 1844 the Baha'i Faith began. Baha'u'llah came from the east, Persia. His family where noble and they traced their ancestry back to Jesse. So there is your stem from the root of Jesse. The Baha'is have transformed the face of Mt Carmel into, as the Jews themselves claim, the 8th wonder of the world. At the base of their property which is open to all religions, is believed to be the cave of Elijah.
So you've got the date, the place, the religion with a new name, from the rot of Jesse, established on Mt Carmel fulfilling both the return of the Jews and the reestablishment of Israel as the seat of the religion of God.
Now I'm not a religious person, but if I were I would by astounded by the Baha'i Faith, a religion that seems to fulfil every Biblical prophecy thrown at it.
Or maybe these Baha'is are just sneaky and built a religion deliberately to fulfil all Biblical prophecy?
Anyway, it sounds more convincing to me than making up religious beliefs in America. That's so American.
