Wotsup, you're endeavoring to equate ''word'' throughout the Scriptures with ''the Word'' of John 1:1. That is like suggesting every time the word ''love'' is used in the Scriptures it refers to ''God''. It leads to confusion.
Mr G, no where have I ever done what your suggesting, saying that every time "the word" is seen, it is referring directly to God and your trying to do with this love stunt.
What you have written here suggest, your not up to speed with the different meaning, context's of "the word".
First up, YOU should know full well, the "W" as in capital, should NOT have been added to John 1:1 and if you going to do so, then you need to make all the letters capitals. So ask yourself the Logic question, why in God's name would you tamper with the meaning of "the word" in ONLY 3-4 places? That SHOULD ring alarm bells.
Are you trying to tell me, that the word of God is not referred to as "the word"? Are you going to also try and tell me that the following cannot be, is not referred to as "the word" --> Titus 1:2 - In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before time eternal; 2 Tim 1:9 - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before time eternal,
Are You going to try and tell us, that these two references, "the word" was not in the beginning with the God? Are you going to tell us, this logos was not first within God, "his own purpose"?
Your sitting there reading this post (maybe you are), your conjuring up thoughts, and these thoughts, You are aligning words to them, those words are IN you --> Whose words, logos are they within you, Mr G, or the order in which you are compiling them? They are part of you, they are you.
God's words are Spirit and likewise, your words are the spirit of you, expression from the thoughts of your spirit. Hence when where told to tests ones spirit, your testing the words, or message coming out of them.
In Beginning was the Spirit and the Spirit was with the God and God was the Spirit = the one and only Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God hovered over the waters and God said, let the be light = Spirit/Word and there was life, the word of life. John 1:4, In him life was = In his inner words, plan and that life (the word) was the light of men Psa 119:105. ------ Gen 1:1 Beginning created God Aleph Tav -> the heavens and the earth.
Now I have read enough from the Bible, the references of this Aleph Tav to know, this Gen verse is Not saying, God created the Aleph Tav. What it is saying, God the Aleph Tav --> created the heavens and earth.
So, you could say, God word --> created the heavens and earth. (What does the alphabet produce = Word, words. Psa 33:6 By the word of Yahweh were the heavens made and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth. Breath = Spirit and likewise, his word is Spirit =Spirit/Word.
"The Word" meanings; Beginning was Word = "The" Word (God) and from the Word comes, the word which is a title, summary of "the word of God".
Jesus exalted and via INHERITANCE receives the name and name only, The word of God. So where do you think the inheritance comes from Mr G = Word --> The Word, the Aleph Tav.
Jesus in Rev is once, referred to as a Alpha Omega (a Aleph Tav) of The Aleph. All through the OT, people are referred to as Aleph Tav's (et), Alpeh Tav Sarah for example. ------------------- Why don't you tell us, WHY Jesus never said he was the word? Why don't you give us a plausible explanation for John 1:1 to not be written as per the following; In the Beginning was the Jesus and the Jesus was with the God and God was the Jesus.
(Greek truth, whether you like is or not --> In the beginning was the word and the word was with the God and God was the word).
And no, Jesus at John 1:1 is not exalted to the position of a God, that only shows up from my understanding at 1:18, after he is in the bosom (light) of the Fathers.
