As alluded to it seems to me the main attraction of the initial roll out of 3.6ghz 5g to 35 major cities will b for business ie 5g handset connectivity,machine to machine,business to business,AI,machine learning.So for these business customers the benefits will out way how ever tls generally decides to price this initial 5g roll out.ie $15 per month extra. For the average individual user i believe they will probably wait until the 5g network continues to develop and especially as 26ghz introduced. Tls listed the capital cities they were rolling out this 'transitional' 5g.i would b interested what capital cities optus is rolling out their 3.6ghz 5g.
This can b fact checked but i believe tls paid a premium for 3.6ghz to gain coverage in more economic areas than optus. which should give tls an advantage over optus regarding business /corporate customers. And going by tpg and nbn news regarding their expansion into the corporate sector tls needs such an advantage. So for me its more about business than general users short term and probably long term as business demand increases especially when 26ghz introduced.
