    Notwithstanding as someone mentioned above, most the population is financially inept and couldn’t possibly manage their own super. So SMSF, isn’t for most. Those who use SMSF, but hire external managers and masses of accountants in a public firm shouldn’t be in SMSF, as fees would eat the return and you’re also in that inept category. You’d be better off in an industry fund. A SMSF should be that, entirely self managed through a lost cost operator to do accounts and audit, circa $700-800pa total in fees.

    i won’t mention the names, but plenty online providers do it for that.
