Spoke to the ore sorting company at the recent mining conference in Melbourne. They said the plant cost A$15m, was working very well, and had a payback of 6 months.
The plant takes out waste and low grade rock. Therefore, Renison has stated they aim to mine at 1mtpa and the mill can take 800,000tpa. Therefore 200,000tpa is removed by the ore sorter.
