Did you read the press release from Webjet?
"Should a proposal be received that was compelling and certain, the company would put it to shareholders. No such proposal exists at present."
So no, there is no "solid offer on the table". The price rise is just speculative exuberance. That's not to say a propasal won't come, but it is not on the table at the moment.
