good news for POZ if NT is prioritising these projects - they may envisage a rock phosphate province akin to the Pilbara for IO which means plenty of royalties down the track
=========================================================
The Wonarah rock phosphate project and other proximal mining projects plus an associated bulk mineral handling facility on the rail line to Darwin at Tennant Creek
have been awarded Major Project Status by the Northern Territory Government.
The Department of the Northern Territory Chief Minister will take on a supervisory and coordination role for the project approvals process which will result in an
efficient, fast-tracking of the efforts of all relevant Departments as they consider Minemakers’ applications for mining tenements and approvals.
This streamlined and supportive approach will enhance Minemakers’ plans to be exporting rock phosphate during 2010.
This Northern Territory Government decision is additional to the plans it announced on 24 July 2008 to spend $100M within three years to expand the Port of Darwin for
mineral exports.
