i dont feel PLS has under performed. They moved from explorer to miner, they improved their recovery rates and reduced their Costs. They progressed phase 2 and even secured LT partners. These are not the signs of a company losing 75% of its value. Even if we were to have a negative view on performance, 75% loss is a much more disastrous story than what PLS has done.

I feel its the negative LCE prices which puts a blanket over the industry. Enter the hedge funds looking for any stock with negative industry momentum attached with strong institutional ownership. Easy money really, borrow the stock from the institutions who are in it for the long-term, drop the price, pay the institutions a borrowing fee allowing them to make money in the short-term. Return the stock right before the long-term value kicks in, institutions will only sell the shares when the long-term value is realized and hence they dont really care about the short-term and now have a way to make money off their investment.

The only losers are the once who allowed the hedge fund to cover their short. My 2c, buy for a reason and hold until that reason is proven right or wrong. I dont think lithium demand has gone away at all. Admittedly, its was a false jump in 2017, and the real demand is now coming. Think early oil industry what followed. Heck armarco is now the biggest company in the world and owns the biggest oil. Wonder what the biggest lithium company will be worth in 20 years...
