technology is one thing...and of course, it is constantly improved...and PCK with its patents will be at the forefront of that. Why? Because product refresh is any easy way to make repeat sales...think of the number of workable mobile phones we have all ditched in favour of the latest.
BUT, standards and procedures which can partially quantify actions and assessments which are largely subjective (such as interpreting pain levels of those who cannot communicate) are slower to change because authorities, management and staff want some way of standardising acceptable versus unacceptable performance...so too does the families of patients and a litigious legal system. This is why the Abbey system has been the rolled gold standard for such a long time.
well guess what, PCK NOW IS.
Plus, understand this: changing systems like this takes time. Look at the exhaustive processes to get authority recognition. It’s akin to making an aircraft carrier do a u turn.
