    Well, kaya, you made me laugh - first time today! - with your quote: "never trust anyone who hits things for a living"

    My 'best' son-in-law is a professional and darn good drummer/percussionist and he is the most peaceful human being I know. Maybe he gets rid of his aggression musically.

    To return to our discussion: we contemplate the spectacle of politicians pretending that they're in charge of things, when underlying everything are the economic interests and needs and business dealings of nations. One of the posters here suggested 'to follow the money trail' - there is a lot of truth in this, except I would amend it to 'follow the resources needs of nations' - the money follows naturally.

    I suspect the future of our civilization(s) will depend on how well honed our instincts for negotiation and will to cooperate are. I hope that we are learning to do this!
