Very true and I respect your opinion very much as well, of course the company itself will have yardsticks which will be considerably different again and won't have any specific timeline, anyone with anything less than a very long term view will be at odds with management in most companies...I remember FARJOY saying they think in generations, very much a Buffet approach to investing, I suspect they may require generations in this case..
Feel very much the same regarding considering a break from HC , it can be a very toxic environment, the only reason I persist is I enjoy a bit of banter on stocks in general and have a very extensive and growing ignore list which cuts out the noise and extreme views considerably , made my decisions on FAR a long time ago and am happy to live with them..have had 16-20c as a target at first oil for some time now , don't expect to see that in that time frame now, but still expect a positive return with the possibility of some supprises...in the end its just another company , but it's a little battler facing tough odds so thoroughly enjoy it..
For me getting finance over the line is the only thing that matters, it always has been , we can't go on without it ..PE will be what it will be but I consider the odds of a favourable result as high, so once again we wait.
