According to previous announcements regarding DFS it appears we are capable of producing lithium hydroxide not just carbonate.

”The DFS is evaluating the range of potential Rhyolite Ridge lithium products (carbonate, hydroxide and sulphate) to determine which products provide the most commercial benefits to the Company and its future customers”

The company did spend millions and rightly so. Its not gonna cost you a few bob to convert carbonate into battery grade hydroxide. If it was everyone would be doing it. Its the reason lithium is a specialty chemical rather than a commodity. Iron ore is dug out of the ground. That’s a commodity. You only have to look at the flow sheet to see its a lengthy process to get the right commercial gradings to have a sound product.

This is also reason i have largely stood clear of all Pot Stocks. You can get weed producers setting up in the back yard. How hard can it be to make if this is the case. Yes there are medicinal producers out there, but most of them are research based.

Just remember this is no two bit operation. Its lengthy and costly to get the end product that large multinational corporations want.
