Hainholtz me suspects that given Barrick has lost interest in Tusker, despite their expertise in developing low grade prospects, it is quite unlikely that they will be involved in the next development there. THey don't do mines less than 3 M oz, and it will be way less than that if they just pick the higher grade zones (if even that is technically possible). If antyhing goes ahead it is likely to be SBS leasing with a small development and buying out Barricks component. Lets just hope there is a reasonable shallow and accessible higher grade resource to make it worthwhile and that SBS are now engaging consultants to explore that possibility as a priority. Options expire mid next year and I'd like mine to be in the money! A feasable resource announced there and at Zara might just do that, especially if project financing can be sorted for Zara in that time frame too. It is possible!
