agree, timing was bad due to change of sentiment towards defensive stocks - aka gold. Even though things might be changing if we are to go by what is happening to the gold price last few days. But too late for ALK.
Numbers came out for the amount of US corporate debt that is maturing over the next 6 years and how much of it is speculative. On top of that there is $12 - $13 trillion of EMs USD denominated debt that is maturing over the same period. There serious doubts that much of it can be repaid. Means rates will jump and so defaults.
If I am right whoever holds gold stocks over the next few years will not have to do much else in order to make decent wage.
