Patent expiry May 2022 of their product is a razor thin timeline to commercialise tech and then to realise revenue. Usually companies are able to corner the market with their first mover advantage over 10-20 years and be embedded enough with customers/industry before having to fend off competitor product leveraging the same tech.
The patent progress failure looks legitimate, not sure why it hasn't been brought up or at least discussed further here. IP protection is absolutely critical to any sustained success. All well and good with having partnerships with big names to get the punters excited but the commercial advantage has to be long enough to have these partnerships translate into topline growth.
Can anyone provide further confirmation of the veracity of the patent protection claim failures?
