Oxymem already had 2 tier marketing.
Oxymem looked after European branding and marketing (and Middle Eastern/Saudi Arabian selling to Saudi Aramco through their investment).
DuPont were looking after distribution under the DuPont brand in China and South America.

DuPont buying Oxymem may help them break that US cease and desist battle they had with GE Water Zeelung/Suez in the USA.

It will also possibly allow them to move manufacturing away from Ireland or open another manufacturing operation in China or the USA.

Oxymem this year passed approvals from Saudi Aramco to use MABR across Saudi Arabia.

The American thing is China is a bit generalized or overblown. China is a big country. They deal with a lot of companies from all over the world. Where it is to their advantage, if they want access to technology in a particular space, they are happy to deal with American companies. Whatever so called trade war or negotiations are happening, the absence of trade would render that moot. The semiconductor industry is a good example. Chinese companies are not yet ready to displace American tech. So US semiconductor manufacturers are still supported. You also don't see McDonalds, KFC and Starbucks being forced to shut down in China over political tensions. DuPont also invests in material development and production in China. China does not want to sever all ties for the sake of it. So just as European companies Veolia and Suez can make inroads into the environmental remediation space, so too will a multi-billion dollar US conglomerate like DuPont. PPP deals mean that DuPont can co-fund some potential installations, something Oxymem could not do on their own. I'd imagine that DuPont branding on Oxymem MABR tech would be of more value, than the Irish flag. I don't think that the average Australian would list Ireland in the top 25 scientific leaders, I don't think Ireland has that cache in China either unlike an Israel, Singapore or Japan. However, as per below, they seem to rank quite highly from whatever index they are taking this from.

In terms of impact on Fluence, while DuPont and Suez may cannibalize some of the market for SUBRE retrofit applications, I would hope that DuPont/Suez's increased marketing budgets may help to break down some barriers to adoption and accelerate opportunities for Fluence to tender for the larger opportunities and chip away at smaller opportunities for MABR and greenfield SUBRE with the increased awareness. The process of going after man camps and having to get individual approval from the New Mexico government will be slow if it has to be repeated across the USA for each state government.
