My simple test is to apply what is posted in the politics forum and see how often you hear that stuff in the real world.
Not just among friends who might be like minded, but amongst people in general. Work mates, family, sport/hobby acquaintances etc.
That's the test for me.
It's not the differing opinions that concern me. You can have a face to face difference of opinion and be reasonable about it. It is the sheer fake news and bitterness etc that I don't see in the real world. It's almost like it's a training ground for trolls trying their stuff out.........
