My thoughts right now--pity there wasn't a good cheap Perth hanging around--my first purchase of property was Mosman Park in 1987--a 1 bedroom unit for 19k--5K deposit--paid it off in two years--I would have been better off leveraging greater--and buying say 40k or 55k--I was too conservative--it wasn't much of a unit--just very basic--to rent it though cost 60 dollars a week at the time--to buy it the mortage was 65 dollars--only 5 dollars more to buy it--Perth is no longer cheap unfortunately--in 80's values--the same unit if it were in Sydney (walkable to Cottesloe Beach--10 mins to Freo.)--more like 70 to 80k--RG
