    It may do - but it also gives those who can't be bothered to make any effort to improve their circumstances the incentive to do so. If people still will not contribute via taxes or some other way then they should suffer the consequences and be on minimum benefits in later years - or the burden should just fall back on their own families - who knowing that their kin are going to be their burden would more than likely put the pressure on.

    I don't pretend that there are easy answers - but I am fairly certain the current system we have is financially unsustainable - and unfair.
