I am trying to calculate the EV/EBITDA for TLS and trying to compare it to other like SPK. My calculations are as follows can people point out to me if I have calculated correctly? Many thanks for your help.
As at 30 December 2019
TLS.AX
Market Cap: 43530 (M)
Cash and receivables: 5996 (M)
Debt and payable: 6750 (M)
EV = 43530+6750-5996 = 44284
EBITDA = 11305
EV/EBITDA = 44284/11305 = 3.9
SPK.AX
Market Cap: 7730(M)
Cash and receivables: 685(M)
Debt and payable: 870(M)
EV = 7730+870-685= 7915
EBITDA = 1056
EV/EBITDA = 7915/1056= 7.5
