The market obviously took the view I did. Get the shocks out the system now. Take the hit then consolidate then wait for zinc and lead to rise ,without too many workers on the payroll on hand to bleed the cash in hand .
Pity if you live and work in Broken Hill though. A nice town . My folk lived north at Milparinka a hundred years ago.
A real pity freeloaders ramped up CBH to such an extent a merger was unworkable. It would have saved jobs, delivered economies of scale and given Broken Hill real certainty looking forward
