It looks like the ETF just went ex-dividend. Though $0.06 on $50.12 is about 0.12% for the quarter - small. I guess it was only half a quarter of them actually holding any holdings to accumulate dividends to pay out though.

From SELF's perspective, doesn't it make sense to retain dividends to grow the FUM, or to invest in high growth low dividend companies to grow FUM? Unless a decent yield would help to grow people's interest in investing in the fund anyway, so not needing to retain the dividends for compounding purposes.

Well, they don't control the company selection anyway, so hopefully the SMSFs are focused on growth more than dividends (or they may be selecting the highest performing SMSFs excluding dividends, or maybe including dividends, but at least the ones that had the highest overall growth).

The 28.4% weighting on financials suggests they have quite a lot of focus on dividends, but probably not too much when there are 50 or so companies owned.

Since SELF only existed for a month and a half, they would have missed out on most of the quarter's ex-dividend dates, and then they are probably due to receive some dividend payments in January. So the next quarter should show a more usual yield.
