Packer. Defied Howard by leading Republican movement. Went into business with Laborites Whitlam and Wran. This guy has nothing to prove. See him on 7.30 Report. Calmly and deftly handled a sustained attack from Kerry. Toffy Melbourne Libs don't like him because he is not old establishment Melbourne Club type. Costello hates him because he has been a more successful lawyer and has superior business skills as well.

So why can't we have him as our next PM?
