Given that CNM has massive potential, but zero cash flow, it's nice to know a series of grants will soon be available for CNM to boost their bottom line and/or help pay for Binningup and/or Albany. Can anyone add to this list - particularly any state ones from SA or VIC?:

CLIMATE READY PROGRAM (federal): Applications for the first round offers close on 4th Sept. It's potentially worth $5mill to Carnegie and the list of criteria fit CNM (and CETO) perfectly. CNM surely would have applied. The guff included in the application, and fact the next round applications close on 4 Dec does give me some hope the "winners" will be announced sooner than would otherwise be expected.

LOW EMISSIONS ENERGY DEVEOPMENT FUND (WA): Applications for the second round close on 11 Sept and will be announced before the end of the year. It could be worth up to $13.4 mill to Carnegie. The first round grants went to solar and mallee tree oil from memory, so given the recent positive comments regarding Albany and wave power, CNM must top the list of recepients in this round. In the last quarterly report Carnegie mentioned they were putting in an application, which gives me hope a positive response is already in the bag. The "winners" will be announced "before the end of the year". Lets hope Labor win the election and the grant coincides with the Binninup decision (or even Albany).

$1 BILL NATIONAL URBAN WATER AND DESALINATION PLAN (Fed): From what i can gather CNM would be eligible to apply for a grant now and it could contribute up to 10% of the cost of the proposed Albany wave farm (or at least 10% of the desalination component of that wave farm).

$500 mill RENEWABLE ENERGY FUND: A grant from this wont be available until next financial year. But does anyone know if they could actually allocate or "promise" any of that funding this financial year, to be paid after June 2009?
