The vote was by Shiite MPs only and was symbolic from the Iran backed members, so hardly surprising. A bit like the Labor backed, Green MP's in Australia voting to ban the Liberal Party - symbolic but pointless. Iraq won't expel the US as the flight of capital from other western nations will give the Iraq economy windburn as it leaves. Thereafter Iran and Saudi Arabia will fight over the carcass, and oil.
