$50bil might be overstated though and all class actions , if successful, only get a fraction of any losses claimed.
Gets even more muddy as holding shares is seen as a gamble with responsibility lying with the shareholder. Claimants would have to prove that the SP went down purely because of the scandals and that is not the case anyway. They may be able to get a percentage of the value of whatever fine is coming for the money laundering breaches as this will have a direct affect on the Bank valuation but that is a tiny fraction of $50bil.
