That's interesting. But roads and highways are funded by the federal government and i'm sure there are one off grants for important improvements. If the port does get approved there is the possibility of part funding by KPT for a one-off upgrade. But after that it's hard to see anymore funding or else KPT would be going for the diesel rebate (what's a public road?). If the council isn't keen or drags it's feet, who cares, as the council can't claim ignorance... they've known for awhile.
By the way, i live in truck heaven, near the industrial area of Melbourne's west (40,000 people work in the industrial area alone), they never stop upgrading roads here, what's so special about KI's?
