The shorting practices/algo/bots of the last 10 years have savaged many a stock. Especially biotech/life sciences who have long drawn out trial periods and haven't got much to show for it, even after positive news.
Many companies have been driven into deep depression.
Not good for those who bought at much higher prices but in many cases they create opportunity. In some cases huge opportunities. Well they did for me.
