I would like to bring some discussion back to this item of the newsletter:
“To that end, we are pleased to announce that a major public screening program has
formally signed up to the Volpara®EnterpriseTM software package. That program will be up and running in early 2020. The provider of the public screening program is anticipated to make an announcement in due course. Our first public screening site was the Hutt DHB in New Zealand, which is using both our VolparaEnterprise and Volpara®Live!TM quality-control solutions. Outside the United States, public screening programs continue to dominate screening.”
The things to consider are:
who - they say a major public screening programme. I infer from this that it’s major outside of the USA. The NZ screening programme have never been described as ‘major’. The NHS have been running pilots of Volpara for some time. If the NHS sign up surely this is a company maker?

timeframe - will be on line from early 2020 - so we can expect the contract value will be highlighted in the 4c, if the client has not announced by then we will have an idea by the value.
what would a major screening programme be worth?
If it was the NHS screening programme 2.59 million women aged 50-70 were invited for breast screening in England during 2016-17. This compares with 2.48 million in 2015-16 and 2.07 million in 2006-07.
Previous information published says $1.60 - $5 us per screening. Let’s call it $2.50 per women could be a $5M contract per year. Next few weeks will be interesting
