Not sure I get your point completely ?

Are you suggesting that this is a conspiracy theory by big fossil ?

Big fossil has a huge investment in burning oil, gas and coal. Why would they bother investing in anything else if they can continue to just do the same thing and reap the benefits ?
It makes complete sense to defend and justify their business model.

That's why I repeatedly ask the anonymous climate denying experts ( some who are scientists apparently ) why big fossil wouldn't simply engage the best minds in the world of science to prove once and for all that increasing atmospheric CO2 isn't causing global warming .

Big fossil has huge resources . Way more than a bunch of protesting uni students. They can afford to hire the best scientists, supply them with best equipment in order to conclusively prove that their business model isn't causing environmental harm.
Surely they have a huge financial incentive to do so. If they can convince the world that rising CO2 emissions are harmless and therefore burning fossils is ok, they stand to profit from it enormously.

So , why aren't they doing this ?
