Regards a possible cause for the delay, I was told once that sometimes the different parties’ legal teams have to do final stamping for all the ‘i’s to be dotted and ‘t’s crossed, and this can cause holdups even though the deal is done.
Seeing as the news seems to have already been set free (judging by recent buying), the trading halt might be a necessary embargo to stop things getting any wilder?
