Not all are cultists but many behave that way. Obsessed to the point where they won't accept reason. Believing their way is the only way and following a charismatic leader (Greta?)
Science debates is still ongoing so alarmists claiming the at science is on their side isn't telling the complete story is it?
Denialist (stupid term) dispute the absoluteness of some scientific determinations. Not surprising as science isn't an exact...well...science.
Moving towards renewables and cleaner energy makes sense but those that think that the climate will be modified to any great degree by this process are being fed a placebo. If it keeps the masses (lemmings) happy then I guess the job is done but it is not Scomo who will be residing in the pot of water that is slowly heating up.
When some start to debate/discuss the bigger picture then the silly little terms like alarmist and denialist can be put where they belong, in the garbage bin. However emotion is what sells in the media so I can't see this happening anytime soon. In the meantime choose your team and keep barracking.
