Yep, accumulation was occurring right through December as a basing pattern formed . As per my currently favoured VWAP chart, despite much bot to bot action/noise and the closing price bit all over the shop, VWAP was slowly rising since mid December.and obviously broke out to the upside with gold (though on low volumes).

I'm encouraged that CDV has held this last week while other goldies have corrected with gold moving back below $1550. Below 30c always looked too cheap despite the binary funding risk, it's not really surprising that no weak hands are left to shake out just a few cents above a one month support base. That said, next resistance imo is the 37.5c from where we broke out with gold back in August. Time does not help market nerves that a JV deal will not get done, at least not before an uncomfortable delay, and a CR risk although low imo still hangs over our heads. Still in a holding pattern until the EPA permit is issued imo, savvy investors will know that this delay is does not mean no interest. CR definitely cannot go ahead without it (can't give punters their money back if EPA is delayed and delayed) and corporate action "subject to the EPA being issues" is possible though unlikely.

So long as gold stays above $1500 it's fair to say that our valuation and hand is strengthened considerably with corporate negotiations. 15 years is a long time to forecast the gold price and value Namdini, very short term gold is mostly noise, but I'm encouraged that gold's performance reinforces that gold has a number of upside potential economically and politically. Some of this upside should be added to the more conservative price decks being used by corporate teams running their knuckles over CDV, despite wanting to pay the lowest price possible.

As you say hedrox, we just have to wait and see in a holding pattern.

    Cheers
