It's an ongoing situation.... WKT claim they are immune to previous issues, having done the right thing, progressed the project, giving the govt their share, but the reality is these countries are unstable and anything can happen at anytime. Sovereign risk...... WKT could get their funding and twelves months later, all assets are seized by the govt amidst accusations of impropriety.
I have been to Africa a few times now and will be heading again this year. It can be a great place yet totally lawless at the same time.
