Batteries will still be required for large scale (i.e. power grid support) and small scale (i.e. homes / commercial buildings) energy storage as the world economy shifts more towards renewable energy for provision of electricity.
Not too concerned with the hydrogen fuel cells developing alongside battery electric vehicles for a slice of the transport pie. Besides, the hydrogen fuel cells are nowhere near the battery electric vehicles when it comes to the high performance vehicles. Rather the fuel cell tech is more suited for buses and other commuting type vehicles. Heck we've even had fuel cell buses operating in Perth since the mid 2000's.
