The title: Yemen .. Bin Dagher reveals the appointment date for the governor of Aden.
The interesting thing is that it is talk of who the new Governor of Aden should be: "... The advisor of the Yemeni president, head of the government team in the Higher Political Committee, Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher, revealed today, Wednesday, the appointment of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi as governor of the Yemeni interim capital Aden and director of its security within a period not exceeding a week, in implementation of the Riyadh agreement concluded between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council, In the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in early November. "
Not forgetting that Bin Dagher was the PM who first tried to control Aden when the STC held him hostage in his home (the Palace) in Jan 2018. That situation required a STC/Hadi truce. Later in October of that year his removal and several other ministers were sacked by Hadi.
"...The former Yemeni Prime Minister, in a series of his tweets on Twitter, said that consultations to form a government of political competencies will start immediately, after the appointment of the governor of Aden, and the formation of the government will be on the “basis of consultation, as stated in the political annex of the Riyadh Agreement.”
Now the appointee is clearly the President and one has to wonder what the game is. I get the inkling that the Government is trying to maximise its authority in the new capital, Aden, with its control of security. This reminds of what happened in August last year and perhaps Bin Dagher embarrassment in Jan 2018. Both situations had wins for the STC.
