I have no doubt Kimbo, WPL would like to buy CNE's share and I'm dead certain CNE HAVE to sell some to fund it. They don't have 1.68 billion.
Given there has been talk CNE will sell 20%, a free carry as you suggest would value the 20% at $840 million USD which is just a shade under 8c per share if applied to FAR's 13.7%........now given this was your idea I would have thought buying at 4.3 wouldn't be a Sell Not Held......? 85% gain based on your idea........
WPL are not going to get government approval for any CNE purchase until the ICC decision comes in and CNE are not going to sell to WPL until they know WPL are staying IMO.
Once the decision is in WPL might still buy CNE's share as I do think FWIW that there has been an arrangement made that has allowed the development to move forward.
Maybe the African Intelligence article was correct for once?
