hey buffett,
i read that news article, it gave the impression that the quotes were from a centro spokesperson.
the word used was "likely"
i get the idea of hybrid securites, and agree that it would not be in the best interests of shareholders (the worser of the options), but at the same time, shows that the company is not knackered.
can't see much happening untill an ann of major significance is made to clear the air (ie the type of scrip and issue price)
also, cant see it being too good, since centro are obviously not keen to sell properties (banks don't want centro management to sell the banks assets and centro management wouldn't care one one or the other)
looks like glen will be leaving with a big stink.
there was really no need for a change of ceo.
what good has come of it?
i would vote you for ceo.
you might last a little bit longer untill corruption takes over.
all the best anyway.
