Had to expect a bad year with the smoke in the two major cities causing an expensive spike in health problems for a start. Ambulances will have been very busy - PHI pays for that for a start. And then many who are already suffering lung and inflammatory conditions are pushed over the edge, and need hip replacements etc.
But next year will not be like this year, and the gov agency responsible will likely take into account the hit this year when assessing price increases.
