The average global temperature has risen 0.4 degreeC in that time and last winter/spring/summer we have had a very high positive Indian Ocean Dipole which is reponsible for the very low humidity and record temperatures from Brisbane to Adelaide... this is what dried out the rainforests and caused the severity of the widest ranging and most severe fires in recorded Aus history.
sensayuma, global warming is real and is causing extreme weather patterns. we need to do our bit to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as many other nations are doing.
