repurchasing is one of the safest decisions you can actually make- but I am the same, the anchoring bias is so strong.
unfortunately I sold out of these to buy SMP late last year and haven’t had the cash to buy back in yet. This is one of the most obvious investments on the ASX for awhile so congrats to those that have held on!
i am always wary of anecdote - I try to confirm things with as many independent sources as possible, but if I can only rely on one, it is the audited accounts! A lot of mistakes investors make (esp professionals) is overweighting ‘secret’ information (eg anecdotes) and not properly analyzing the information that drives value.
