Althea - time to buy?, page-50

From what I've understood, a lot of factors came together to burst the Cannabis hype bubble (don't read too much into that term, as I do believe there is a lot of future value in this arena).
There were supply issues in Canada which is is one of the largest markets, legislation hurdles in various jurisdictions, taxation issues, and some mysterious deaths connected to unofficial vape products in the US. There have also been some prominent companies hit by scandals (not Althea).
That's for the market as a whole. Coming off the exuberance of the initial years, all of this seems like more than enough to burst the bubble.

For Althea specifically, a few months ago Aphria, a large Canadian Cannabis company sold a very large portion of its Althea stock. Ostensibly not because it didn't have faith in the company, but rather for their own financial imperatives.

That's when I bought into the stock- it is all a bit of a perfect storm for someone like me who did not participate in the earlier days of the Cannabis rush. A solid company, with a solid business model, solid execution so far, good financials, and a rapidly growing medical marijuana customer base: Althea checked a lot of boxes for me. Their strategy of working with doctors is the right approach, and puts them in a different category to the many companies out there competing in the crowded production space. Althea getting hit by the market downtrend was the right moment for me to participate. Still is, IMO.
