Why would he? it's an investment, not a charity. I think the premise behind this question is, because the company is in trouble, why doesn't he help out, essentially helping the company at his expense - a form of charity.
The problem is, I think the entire premise is wrong, I believe the company is in relatively good shape. It's not in need of charity. As an investor he's maximising his investment - I'd do the same thing, as I'm sure you would.
I think this whole idea that the company is in trouble is just nonsense, which is driving ridiculous speculation, driven by two or three frequent contributors.
