Great post. Doing a volte-face is, in my mind, the hardest part of investing, particularly when you're sitting on unrealized losses - if you've bought a stock at X, thinking it is already or could be fairly worth 1.5-2X in a given time frame, then the stock trades down to well below <1X, you have to argue with yourself over the degree to which your initial thesis was wrong and, if so, whether you were so wrong as to justify selling out completely or whether you hang around to turn over some more cards. Letting go of speculative turds or otherwise low quality businesses is easy enough, but performing a volte-face on businesses that historically have performed well, or in future "should" perform well (i.e. are ostensibly supported by favorable tailwinds and have sound unit-level economics), is much harder - i'd put CGF squarely in the latter bucket.
