Hear hear, min0nim.
All this talk of depression and crashing markets just doesn't gel with any sort of fundamental analysis. Most stocks I hold are still making big profits, and will continue to make big profits. Yet "analysts" and "experts" continue to call for the end of the world and dropping share prices.
This reminds me of 1987, when I was a poor graduate student in Canada. One of my colleagues came in to Uni one day looking white as a sheet, and was in a depressed state for at least a week, after the October crash.
At the time, I didn't have any money anywhere (not even under the mattress!), and it was all rather peculiar. To me, life didn't seem any different AT ALL, yet here were several friends proclaiming major disasters, end of the world as we know it and all that. We still went for beers on Friday arvo.
Perspective!
Within a couple of years, they were all doing very well again, thank you.
