I see what you are saying. I think this comes to an individual risk adversity and mental strength. If you were convinced that $4 is still a good value at a time and you will get a good return, then buying seems like a right thing to do. It is the amount of money a person is willing to back their conviction with and I totally understand that there's only a certain percentage of one's portfolio that should go into a speculative stock. I note here that I lack discipline and expose myself to specs a lot, MSB included, so don't consider me being a cold-blooded calculating trader.
I do admit though that I did sell msb shares for a quick trade and bought the same amount back within a span of a few hours. I do that rather very very scarcely and given the phase Mesoblast is in, it's like a Russian roulette. Put it simply, although I'm tempted to ride the waves, I am also scared to miss the tide.
