if thats the case, it really gets me that this wouldnt be deemed insider trading. I really think these analysts need to be held to account, they should have to disclose any potential conflicts of interest including their trading of a particular stock at least 3 months before and after release of a broker report. It's absolutely disgusting that these brokers are allowed to get away with what they get away with. ASIC needs to be more involved in this type of behaviour and regulate brokers more. Having said that, investors need to be smarter and stop listening to brokers.
