I guess my point is that the assets shown on the balance sheet are at historical cost and not market value so there may not have to be any writedowns, as long as the balance sheet assets plus goodwill are more than liabilities. Either way the shorting has to finish soon and then we may see the sp work its way back on up.Shorting has become too big a component in the Aust share market. Occam
